Reaktol Catalyst 20ml

Essential for curing silicone materials. The standard ratio is approximately 1 drop of catalyst per gram of silicone. The more catalyst you add, the harder and faster the silicone will cure. If you encounter issues with curing, it's likely that you haven't used the correct amount of catalyst, or the catalyst may be expired.

Tip: Store your catalyst in the fridge for prolonged shelf life.

Instructions for Use:

• Moisturize Hands and Feet: Wet your hands and the patient's foot to prevent the silicone from sticking.
• Prepare Silicone: Take the required amount of silicone and knead it with both hands to mix the oil in the silicone thoroughly.
• Add Catalyst: Determine the correct amount of catalyst (approximately 1 drop per gram of silicone) and add half of the required drops. Mix quickly and vigorously for 20 seconds.
• Add Remaining Catalyst:Add the remaining half of the drops and mix again for another 20 seconds.
• Shape the Silicone:Depending on the application, form a ball or cylinder and continue rolling it in your hands until you feel it starting to harden.
• Apply the Silicone:Apply the silicone and wait for 2 to 3 minutes.
• Curing Time:Your orthosis is now ready, but advise the patient to wait 24 hours before wearing it to ensure full curing.
