EXAM NAILSTYLING

At ASAP Nails & Beauty Academy, we take the profession of nail stylist very seriously. We consider it our duty to test the skills of our students, as this is part of the success we promise our students.

Nail styling exams are scheduled on four fixed dates throughout the year. The entry exam is always the Manicurist Exam. Once the Manicurist Exam has been successfully completed, you are allowed to take the exams for the other techniques.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
For the Manicurist exam, a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge is required. The theoretical exam consists of a multiple-choice questionnaire and does not contain any impossible questions. A minimum score of 70% for both theory and practice is required to obtain the certificate.

The Gel, Acrylic, and AcryGel exams are practical tests where a minimum score of 70% is also necessary to obtain the certificate for the respective technique.

PROGRAM
For the Manicurist exam, 30 minutes are provided for the theoretical part and 60 minutes for the practical part. You are expected to apply a red color on one hand and a French Manicure on the other.

For the Gel, Acrylic, or AcryGel exam, you are expected to apply a full set of artificial nails within a 120-minute timeframe. One hand must be equipped with tips, the other hand with forms, and these must be finished with a French Manicure.

WHAT TO BRING
All the materials needed for the technique you wish to be examined on.

MODEL
A model without artificial nails who has long nail beds. Short nails or nail-biters are not allowed as models for the exam.

AFTER THE EXAM
At the end of the exam, you will be immediately informed if you have passed. We will also give you feedback on your work and any points that need improvement. You will receive a certificate for each exam passed.
